I am willing to do this if we have a few other people who will join in. We can probably put together an hour long set of new and old music without too much trouble as long as we don't have any particular theme to the our set (having a theme would make for more work....). It would also be nice to so something with LBC again, which we haven't done since Winterstock. However, I would also be fine with skipping this one, as we have other stuff coming up in early May.

Just to clarify where we are with other events, here is the status, since this have some impact on whether people want to do the Greenfields event. Based on where we are with the following events, I believe we can do the Greenfields event, but people can decide for themselves.

April 6 - Memorial Service: all music is tested and approved .. no more work to do on this other than show up and play

Early May - Spring Racing Carnival: we have some potential songs completed, but nothing really decided here since we don't yet know the details of how we fit in to the overall event; so we definitely have more work to do to prepare for this one, probably in late April.

May 5 or thereabouts: Cinqo de Mayo concert: we prolly have enough music for this by now .. we have 12 songs tested/approved I have 3 more songs I've done for this as well

Talking to Fincin tonight, looks like this is going to 2 days, Saturday and Sunday. All they are allowing to sign up so far are European-based bands, Tomorrow they open to everyone for sign up.  

Would Sunday be better for us? Something to think about.

generally we have had more luck with band members availability on sundays than with Saturdays I think, so IF we go, maybe sunday would be better

Sign-up will open at 6PM Servertime today.  I *think* we'll have a day or two to commit. 

Another thing to consider is a "split slot"... like the LBC did with us at Winterstock. I'm not certain who we'd want to go in with, but it is an option.

Having heard from our newest members, I'll be asking Fincin for the 5pm (servertime) Sunday slot, right following Andune Ensemble.  

I'll work on a program (set list). If you have anything you want included, let me know.  I'm thinking themes of "spring, fresh breezes and flowers"... light jazz maybe, with emphasis on dancing?  I'll give it some thought.

As for costuming, I'll work up "light spring revels" looks. Again, suggestions are always welcome! I promise, Kroh will not wear the outfit he did for the Windy Bottoms Conservatory project April 1.

Good news and bad news: I occasionally get my schedule 2-3 weeks ahead now, thanks to being on the management schedule. However, I know for sure I'm working that day. :(

Hello All!

Had to replace my computer and am still struggling to get Songbook up and running. My conclusion: I'll need to partition using Bootcamp and install plugins that way. Should be up to speed by next week. Looking forward to being back in the band!
