... due to events beyond our control. I can't launch LOTRO, presumably due to Turbine's data center issues, and I suspect no one else can either :(

Yes, it's all LOTRO systems, Dungeons & Dragons Online, and others (like a Minecraft host) that are down. No Estimated Time to Repair, yet. I'm watching the routing, and will try to post in the Shout Box here when the systems come back up.
Might be a wash tonight, all around. If so... see you all when Helms Deep goes live!
(And, yeah, I thought it was funny that the server crashed, freezing everything on screen as we were playing... freeze tag.)

And they are announcing restoration of power! Systems need to be verified, and they will be activating worlds as they are sure the data is intact. Give it some time, but you should be able to try to log in within 30 minutes or so of this post.

Well, things appear to still not be up, so I think I'm going to give up the ghost for this evening. Refreshing twitter and the lotro page just isn't as fun as it used to be.
